Beat Poetry Anthology Dust Jacket

In this project I created a book cover for a future publication entitled the Beat Generation. The idea was to use expressive typography and illustration to appeal to a new generation. I wanted the book cover to grab plenty of attention in the store, so I decided on using a bright red colour for the background . The typography was made with a 50/60’s retro style. The illustrations showed a reflection of work in a Beat Poet’s glasses, while the highrise buildings were added to illustrate the poets entrapement within the city.
